HeatWave Analytics Solution Engineer Africa

Partners with customers, sales, engineering, and product teams to design, demonstrate, and deploy Oracle Cloud architectures that address customer business problems. Drives Oracle Cloud customer consumption by accelerating the adoption of Oracle cloud services including discovery, design, and deployment.

Responsible for participating in customer engagements to collaboratively design and implement solutions. May work directly with customers to gather requirements, develop architectures, and translate business needs into solutions. Implements solutions and ensures successful deployments through code development and scripting. Displays product/application understanding through more customized presentation demonstrations to customers and at conferences and events. Supports customers from Proof of Concept (POC) through production deployment of services via resource configuration, planning, and customer education/training. Creates and distributes technical assets (white papers, solution code, blog posts, and video demonstrations). Serves as a technical point of contact for customers and sales on technical cloud solutions and customer success. Further builds business and technical acumen.

Role & Responsibilities

1. Serve as a key member of the Oracle HeatWave Solution Engineering team focused on driving overall Cloud adoption.
2. Handle a high volume of engagements and the fast pace of the cloud computing market.
3. Experience with account management (Enterprise, SMB, and startup) and solution selling.
4. Maintain strong database technical knowledge with the ability to go deep enough on technical aspects to differentiate between varied database approaches (relational, non-relational, in-memory, data warehousing, etc.).
5. Develop and deliver compelling presentations, product demos, sample solutions, and discussions to drive awareness and adoption of Oracle HeatWave program initiatives for Oracle HeatWave Service to analytic and big data developers.
6. Lead the technical presentation, drive customer workshops, and provide deep-dive technical discussion with clients on HeatWave and OCI technologies.

Basic Qualifications

1. Arabic, English.
2. Good knowledge of SQL, Machine Learning and AI, IT architectures, and networking.
3. Must have database analytical background.
4. Experience on BI tools, PowerBI, Tableau, Qlikview, Cognos, etc., preferably certified in analytics solutions.
5. Any certification on Cloud, Analytics, or DHW, Lakehouse, AI&ML technology is a plus.
6. Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations is key.
7. Academic Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, or related degree.
8. Customer Focus: Dedicated to fostering strong customer relationships.
9. Experience in DBA & Data Analyst engagement.
10. Must have background experience with Snowflake, Databricks, or other Analytics or AI/ML technology.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Database experience, programming skills, Linux skills highly preferred.
2. Cloud Skills and experience highly preferred.
3. Experience with the Azure data and analytics stack: particularly in modern data platforms such as AWS, Snowflake, and Databricks.
4. GCP / AWS / Azure Certifications.
5. Good understanding of the IT market/trends especially in the realm of Analytics & DWH; good understanding of the various concepts of cloud technology, preferably certified in at least one cloud technology.
6. Experience working with MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and AWS databases.
