Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in a Life Science, Biology, Health Science or Nursing
Preferred: Master's Degree in Nursing, Teaching Certificate/Diploma, Internationally recognized Trainer and Assessor Qualification
Experience Required: 3-year experience in a reputable institute/school, 5 years of practical/clinical experience, or a combination of teaching and practical/clinical experience.
Skills Required: Be up to date with the newest information in Health Sciences, Knowledge of principles and practices of Health Education.
Language: English: Fluency oral and written IELTS Academic 7.0. Arabic: An advantage.
Comply with EHS Policies, Programs and Procedures as per IAT/ADVETI EHSMS-General Framework and take responsibility for any aspect of EHS that they are involved in.
Health Science Teachers are responsible for the successful class delivery of the Health Science program as well as for the continuous improvement of the teaching and learning materials and the provision of support to students.
Teachers implement the Health Education curriculum and communicate and collaborate with fellow teachers and liaise with school principals and the program manager to schedule or adjust their classes and assess, analyze, evaluate, and improve program outcomes.
The Health Science teacher will also have to stay up to date with the newest information in their field, thus improving knowledge of principles and practices of health education; program planning and development; and program evaluation methods.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Curriculum Developer.
Manage online teaching and learning using apps like MS Teams, Zoom, Google Docs, etc.
Use LMS platforms effectively to deliver knowledge and manage teaching and learning.
Seek continuous professional development opportunities in Health Sciences.
Exercise leadership by taking personal responsibility for monitoring and assessing the progress of all learners.
Maximize efficiency, maintain discipline and morale, promote teamwork, plan, communicate, focus on results, evaluate progress, and make constant adjustments to their professional practice.
Use a range of strategies to promote positive relationships, cooperation, and purposeful learning in the classroom.
Engage learners in individual and cooperative learning activities that help them develop their knowledge, skills, understanding, and attitudes for learning.
