Health Care Assistant

As a Health Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing essential care and support to patients in various healthcare settings. Your duties may include assisting with personal hygiene tasks, monitoring vital signs, administering medication under the supervision of healthcare professionals, and ensuring a safe and clean environment for patients. You will also be required to communicate effectively with patients and their families, as well as collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the overall well-being of patients. The ideal candidate will have a compassionate and caring demeanor, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in a healthcare setting and relevant certifications may be preferred.

Responsibilities

1. Providing basic patient care under the supervision of medical staff.
2. Assisting with activities of daily living such as feeding, bathing, and dressing.
3. Monitoring and recording vital signs of patients.
4. Assisting with mobility and transferring of patients.
5. Observing patients for any changes in condition and reporting to medical staff.
6. Assisting with medical procedures as needed.
7. Maintaining a clean and safe patient environment.
8. Providing emotional support and companionship to patients.
9. Assisting with transportation of patients within the healthcare facility.
10. Following proper infection control protocols and handling of medical equipment.

Minimum Requirements

1. High school diploma or GED equivalent.
2. Completion of a certified nursing assistant program or equivalent training.
3. Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
