Head Waiter

Daikan Izakaya, City Walk, is searching for an experienced and passionate Head Waiter to oversee our front-of-house operations and ensure exceptional service to our guests. You will play a critical role in leading the waitstaff team while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the activities of the waitstaff, providing guidance and training to maintain a cohesive team environment.
• Service Excellence: Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality service throughout the restaurant, directly interacting with guests to address their needs and preferences.
• Order Management: Assist in taking and processing customer orders accurately, ensuring all requests are met in a timely manner.
• Menu Knowledge: Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the menu, including special promotions, and provide recommendations to both staff and guests.
• Problem Solving: Address and resolve any guest complaints or issues promptly and professionally to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Collaboration with Kitchen Staff: Liaise effectively with kitchen personnel to ensure seamless coordination of service and timely delivery of food and beverages.
• Training and Development: Assist in training new waitstaff, fostering a supportive and productive work environment.
• Health and Safety: Uphold health and safety regulations to guarantee a safe and sanitary dining atmosphere for guests and staff alike.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Head Waiter or in a similar supervisory position in a fine dining or high-volume restaurant.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of food and beverage service, with a passion for hospitality.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
• Flexible availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations.
