Head of Strategy and Corporate Performance Management

Job Purpose
Responsible for managing the development of ADG's Group strategy and business plans as well as ensuring successful implementation thereof, in addition to monitoring the overall Group.
- Strategy Formulation - Develop the objectives & KPIs for the Department, monitor the operating results, and ensure that appropriate measures are in place to achieve targeted objectives, reduce risk and make accurate decisions.
- Budget & Cost Control - Develop the Department's annual budget and ensure maintaining costs and expenditures within the set budget.
- Policies & Processes - Develop Policies & Processes for the Department in line with ADG's standards and other applicable laws and regulations.
- Continuous Improvement - Provide input and recommend continuous improvement as per leading practices taking into account international best practice changes in international standards and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans.
- People Management - Identify the manpower requirements for the Department and ensure hiring a highly professional and knowledgeable workforce. Conduct annual performance appraisal for subordinates and recommend salary increments and promotions accordingly. Identify the training needs of employees and ensure training & development initiatives are successfully delivered and provide feedback to the Direct Manager. Delegate responsibilities and assign tasks to subordinates to facilitate performing different tasks and work-related activities. Manage subordinates' attendance and leaves to ensure compliance with ADG's attendance policy, as well as the availability of proper replacements during subordinates' leave.
- Corporate Performance Management - Manage the development of ADG's Corporate Performance Management outlining the required systems towards achieving ADG's strategic objectives. Manage ADG's Group performance through tracking and monitoring progress in achieving strategic objectives & Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) against set targets and raising flags in case of deviation. Work closely with each Division to ensure ADG's strategy, mission, and vision are translated into departmental business plans. Work with Division Heads to support the development of business plans & KPIs in line with ADG's strategy. Manage the development of a reporting and monitoring framework/system. Identify opportunities and drive changes to improve implementation and evaluation of strategic and business planning processes in ADG to enable better performance tracking and reporting capacity. Liaise with ADG's Group functions to develop scorecards and identify relevant KPIs at the corporate and functional levels. Manage the process of reviewing and resolving issues related to corporate performance management to rectify performance in the event of any deviation from the action plan. Manage the preparation of periodic corporate performance management and business reports showing key indicators, trends, relevant external information, risks, and areas that require management's attention. Ensure that decisions made by different functions support the value stream of ADG's Group and end-to-end processes. Create the necessary awareness for employees with respect to corporate performance management processes, methods, and systems. Keep abreast of the trends and developments in the global business to assess their impact on the group and make recommendations accordingly. Perform ad-hoc and other duties related to the job as assigned by the Direct Manager.
- Reports - Establish a transparent and comprehensive reporting mechanism, to maintain the CEO awareness of major activities and performance results of the ADG and the function. Review and present reports on the budget activity for the function, including identification of potential problems and recommendations for corrective actions, forecast trends and make recommendations. Review periodic reports prepared by subordinates to draw insights about the current business conditions and facilitate the decision-making process.
Qualifications & Certifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
Work Experience
Minimum of 12 years of experience in Real Estate, with at least 2 years experience in Strategy and Performance Management. UAE Based candidates will be more preferable.
Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge of Behavioral Competency Framework.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic is an advantage.
- Strong Analytical and Leadership skills.
