As the Head of Startup Business Development - Middle East, North Africa & Sub-Saharan Africa within AWS, you will have an exciting opportunity to shape and make an impact on the best startups in this market. Your responsibilities will include managing a team of business development managers to drive AWS adoption and market penetration in startups while building strategic relationships with key stakeholders in the startup ecosystem, including investors, accelerators, and incubators.
The ideal candidate will possess both a sound business background and experience that enables them to effectively interact at the CxO/VP-level startup executives, as well as a technical background that allows them to effectively engage with CTOs and software developers. They should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, products, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions, and work cross-organizationally. They will also possess a passion for new and emerging technologies and how they can shape the future.
On a daily basis, you will lead a talented team of business development managers by supporting them as they nurture and grow their portfolio of startups and investors they work with. Being customer obsessed, you will leverage insights from your team and direct feedback from customers/partners, to apply critical thinking to develop strategy. You'll help coach your team to win the hearts and minds of the best startups through our differentiated value proposition.
