Head of Sales (Brand Manager) - Renault Trucks

Design and implement sales strategy in order to achieve growth of commercial vehicle sales in the UAE. Effectively manage principal's relationship to maximize their support in achieving company goals and objectives.

Identify new business opportunities in order to generate revenue, improve profitability and customer base.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare sales strategy analysing past trends and current market dynamics in order to improve market share.
  • Compilation and interpretation of market intelligence data relating to competitors, market size, market share analysis.
  • Achievement of targeted sales volume of the company as well as Principals.
  • Research and identify new business opportunities - including growth areas, trends, new customers, partnerships, or new ways of reaching existing markets.
  • Analysis of Loss Sale reports to take proactive actions.
  • Arrange demo truck for customers in order to influence their purchase decision as per agreement.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with principals, manufacturers and suppliers in order to maximize support.
  • Work closely with the principals (where applicable) and understand the brand positioning/image and implement the target plans within UD framework.
  • Optimize lead qualification and scoring for better decision making.
  • Lead, motivate and develop subordinates in order to achieve required levels of performance and competency. Build a high-performance sales culture to deliver maximum sales and exceed budgets.
  • Evaluate and assess the different promotional campaigns initiated throughout the year and submit reports on effectiveness.
  • Provide sales status reports (daily, weekly, monthly) as may be required by the General Manager to ensure necessary actions are taken.
  • Support General Manager in new product/brand launches to ensure effective implementation programmes.
  • Monitor and review sales performance versus the set targets and proactively address problems in order to ensure consistent targets achievement.
  • Monitor inventory level and initiate/handle ordering of vehicles in order to ensure optimum level of inventory to meet sales forecast.
  • Suggest and implement Sales Promotion activities in support with Principals (Customer event, VIP customer visit, IFTAR dinner, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with ISO quality standards, and facilitate the conduct of quality internal & external audits.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree preferable in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in Junior Management Level in the automotive sector preferably in commercial vehicles.
  • UAE experience would be an added advantage.
  • Substantial track record of exceeding sales quotas and goals.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Proven knowledge of effective sales strategies and best practices.
  • Knowledge of inventory control and management.
  • Knowledge and experience of the automotive sector (with specific emphasis on Commercial Vehicles or Heavy equipment) in the local market.
  • Knowledge of the practical application of automotive and electronic technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, equipment, etc.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Proficient in English language (verbal and written).
