Job Overview

The Head of Sales is a visionary leader who will redefine the landscape of the Gargash Motor sales operations. This job is pivotal in driving transformative sales strategies and leading initiatives that enhance the market position and exceed consumer expectations. The Head of Sales leads the entire sales operations department, overseeing all its activities and is responsible for driving sales efforts to enhance the business’s position with customers and to solidify the position of the business in the market.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies that align with the dealership's overall business objectives and growth aspirations. This involves crafting long-term and short-term plans that not only meet but anticipate market demands, positioning the dealership as a leader in the automotive market.
  • Develop strategies that integrate market analysis, competitive positioning, customer segmentation, and a thorough understanding of the Gargash Motors brand value.
  • Lead the formulation and implementation of forward-thinking sales policies and processes that foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Establish innovative policies that streamline sales operations, enhance customer interactions, and maximize efficiency, and include guidelines for customer engagement, sales protocols, and performance management systems that ensure the team consistently meets high standards
  • Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of sales information platforms, ensuring they support effective decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Implement and optimize CRM systems and other digital tools to capture, analyze, and utilize sales data effectively that ensure the sales team has access to real-time information, improving customer relationship management and strategic foresight.
  • Drive the effectiveness of the sales operations department by setting high standards for monitoring and evaluating sales activities.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regular review processes to assess the effectiveness of sales strategies and individual performances.
  • Foster a results-oriented culture where data-driven decisions are prioritized.
  • Implement advanced sales analytics and tracking systems to provide insightful performance metrics and actionable insights.
  • Use predictive analytics, big data, and AI-driven tools to gain deeper insights into sales trends, customer preferences, and market opportunities, that enables the team to make proactive adjustments and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Develop and manage transparent processes that utilize innovative tools to boost sales productivity and accountability.
  • Introduce cutting-edge technologies like automated sales workflows, virtual reality showrooms, and mobile sales applications to streamline operations and enhance customer experiences.
  • Collaborate with marketing, finance, and other departments to develop integrated strategies that drive consumer engagement and market penetration.
  • Foster a collaborative environment where interdepartmental synergies are maximized. Jointly develop campaigns and initiatives that are cohesive, targeted, and effective in reaching mutually agreed-upon targets.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and consumer behavior patterns, using intelligence to anticipate market shifts and adjust sales tactics accordingly.
  • Conduct continuous market research and attend industry conferences to keep abreast of new developments, ensuring the dealership remains a trendsetter in the luxury automotive space.
  • Lead market research initiatives to identify opportunities for product and service enhancements.
  • Utilize customer feedback, competitive analysis, and market surveys to uncover gaps and innovate offerings that enhance the dealership's value proposition.
  • Design and execute robust sales plans, campaigns, and activities that align with the dealership’s strategic objectives.
  • Develop compelling sales campaigns that leverage data insights and customer personas to drive engagement and conversion rates.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts and budgets, and closely monitor performance against these benchmarks to ensure targets are met. Implement rigorous forecasting models and budget controls to maintain financial discipline and strategic alignment.
  • Reallocate resources and adapt procedures as necessary to optimise sales performance and address emerging challenges.
  • Ensure that the sales team is agile and responsive, capable of reallocating efforts and resources to areas of greatest potential impact.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and negotiating deals that provide mutual benefit.
  • Develop personalized engagement strategies for high-value clients, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the sales management team, fostering a culture of excellence and professional growth.
  • Ensure the team is equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to achieve and exceed sales targets. Develop comprehensive training programs that cover sales strategies, customer engagement, product knowledge, and market trends.
  • Champion the adoption of innovative sales technologies and methodologies that enhance the customer experience and streamline operations. Embrace digital transformation by integrating technologies such as CRM enhancements, AI-driven customer insights, and virtual sales assistants.
  • Uphold company values throughout business practices and utilize sound judgment in decision making.
  • Any other additional duties as may be required by management based on needs of the business.

Qualifications

Work Experience

  • Min. of 10+ year’s professional experience in a similar role including 7 years as the head of the function or in a similar position
  • Experience in the Automotive Industry.
  • Proven understanding of the Vehicle products and services.
  • Profit and Loss experience and strong financial acumen.
  • Experience in maintaining the profitability of a department while controlling expenses and maintaining customer satisfaction.

Education Qualification

  • Minimum master’s degree in related field
  • Preferably Master’s degree in Business Administration or similar degree
