Duties & Responsibilities
Developing project planning and controlling.
Managing assigned individual contributors in various departments (Production, Installation, Operation, Maintenance, and Projects) to ensure timely and efficient completion of work.
Reviewing and utilizing financial data to improve profitability. Preparing and controlling operational budgets and planning effective strategies for project finances.
Providing strategic input - Liaising with management to assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity and implementing project operational plans.
Communication - Monitoring, managing, and improving the efficiency of support services such as I.T., H.R., Accounts, and Finance. Facilitating coordination and communication between support functions.
Risk Management - Overseeing organizational policies, ensuring health and safety committee meetings are held and tasks assigned.
Planning, organizing, and supporting project management and status review meetings.
Providing strategic oversight, coordination, and maintenance of identified projects.
Managing day-to-day activities, analyzing statistics, and preparing reports.
Ensuring project requirements are gathered and analyzed by the projects department, defining project management structure, and overseeing teams of specialists.
Maintaining an open direction and collaborative work style with a commitment to getting the job done.
Evaluating situations from multiple perspectives.
Facilitating projects across operations that align with company goals.
Evaluating current systems and procedures for continuous improvement.
Updating management regarding progress and areas in need of improvement.
Preparing periodic written reports for department managers regarding project status and keeping senior managers informed of project direction, renegotiating as necessary.
Making presentations regarding project direction and recommendations to senior department/division managers.
Preparing and checking the basis of design, specifications, technical bid evaluations, and drawings.
Mobilizing goods and services to initiate activities, including drafting and work specifications.
Ensuring proper documentation of standard operating procedures.
Ensuring that operational objectives are measurable and specific.
Monitoring events as determined in the Monitoring & Communication Plan and updating the plan as required.
Providing required leadership at various construction levels.
Identifying, suggesting, and implementing corrective actions to improve quality.
Monitoring key staff for the quality and timely execution of the project.
