Responsibilities:

  1. The Incumbent will work with the CCO in order to assess non-AML standards across the group business.
  2. The Incumbent will work with the business teams to understand the existing systems and controls in place and any gaps between existing systems and controls and required standards.
  3. The Incumbent will work with the business teams to implement practical and robust standards across the group and develop timelines regarding the same.
  4. The Incumbent will assist HNAC in working with senior management to assess appropriateness of additional systems and controls and help prepare policies on the same.
  5. The Incumbent will assist HNAC in ensuring deadlines for implementation of systems and controls are in place and fully operational by the required dates.
  6. Developing the Annual Compliance Work Plan and conducting periodic reviews and revisions of the Plan.
  7. Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure that the organization complies with all applicable laws, regulations and standards across the C Suite verticals.
  8. In conjunction with the VP Regulatory and Licensing, defining the requisite level of knowledge on existing and emerging regulatory compliance requirements across the organization.
  9. Coordinating internal compliance reviews across the organization s verticals including periodic departmental reviews.
  10. Providing advice and training on Compliance Matters to the Organization and its subsidiaries.
  11. Preparing and presenting clear and concise reports to the Board.
  12. Notifying the General Counsel of violations or suspected violations of Applicable Compliance Laws and Regulations.
  13. Ensuring that all documentation and records are secured and maintained by designated custodians consistent with regulatory requirements of Applicable Compliance Laws and Regulations.
  14. Independently investigating and acting on matters related to Compliance.
  15. Interacting with regulators on Compliance Issues (including Mandatory Reporting).

Job Requirements:

  1. Strong legal or compliance background with at least 5 years relevant work experience in either field.
  2. University education.
  3. Minimum demonstrated experience in a senior international compliance role.
  4. Demonstrated knowledge and experience on the concept, evaluation and mitigation of risks relating to compliance risks.
  5. Experience working for a regulatory agency (preferred).
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Demonstrated critical-thinking skills (decision-making).
  8. Demonstrated experience managing people and interfacing with multiple teams.
  9. Advanced organizational understanding and the management of change.
  10. Demonstrated experience in interacting with regulators.
