Job Description:
Our Client is a Shipping Liner digitally driven to provide seamless logistics solutions.
The ideal candidate will be mainly responsible for managing the assigned lines through monitoring and assessing the existing network, as well as initiating and collaborating with Line management on service enhancements/modifications. You will also be involved in the exploration and design of new services as required.
In coordination with Network Execution, liaises with the terminal operator and/or Marine Execution Manager to ensure the most optimal berthing lineup for incoming vessels and proactively monitors ETA and ETC progress.
Identifies opportunities for cost reduction and cost control.
Manages contract negotiations with vendors, ensuring all established requirements are met.
Conducts market research, collects market information & trends with analysis to support decision making.
Assists on profit and loss analysis to support network changes or new products. This involves the creation of proforma schedules, product costings, and contribution analysis on volume and revenue projections.
Provides input to support new business processes for smoother workflows.
Prepares presentations and supporting documents for management approvals on network changes and/or new products.
Supports internal stakeholders and external partners to communicate network & products updates to ensure the right cost is being forecasted and accounted for in the results.
Maintains internal vessel fleet movement and cascading plan.
Desired Candidate Profile:
Graduated with a Bachelor degree in Maritime Business, Supply Chain Management, International Logistics, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or any equivalent.
Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
Strong time management skills, meticulous and analytical with numbers.
Advanced working knowledge in Excel required, with experience in formatting, pivot tables, formulas, filters, and sorting.
Well-established network of stakeholders in the region.
