Position: Master Planning and Planning Studies Section Manager

Location: Ras Al Khaimah (RAK), UAE

With over AED 4 billion in tourism investments announced in 2023 alone and major infrastructure projects like the RAK Ring Road and Marjan Island expansion underway, the momentum is undeniable. At the forefront of this transformation is a visionary government entity deeply involved in shaping the emirate’s urban and economic future. We’re now hiring a Master Planning and Planning Studies Section Manager to help drive the next 5 to 10 years of development strategy and execution.

Your Role in Shaping the Future

Reporting to the Surveying and Planning Department Manager, you will lead a multidisciplinary team in developing operational plans, overseeing complex master planning projects, and ensuring technical excellence in urban planning and studies. Your expertise will directly influence policy alignment, stakeholder engagement, and the sustainable expansion of the emirate.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Oversee the master planning and planning studies section, ensuring alignment with strategic KPIs and municipal objectives.
  • Develop annual operational and resourcing plans to deliver multi-phase urban projects.
  • Guide technical teams in preparing comprehensive reports, identifying risks, and optimizing outcomes through data-driven decisions.
  • Liaise with cross-functional municipal teams and external stakeholders (federal entities, consultants) to ensure seamless coordination.
  • Provide expert insights and technical recommendations on urban design, infrastructure integration, and sustainable land use.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning or a related discipline (Master’s preferred)
  • 10 to 15+ years of relevant experience in urban planning, with strong exposure to large-scale master plans and public-sector development
  • Proficiency in GIS and familiarity with PMP methodologies
