Head of Learning and Development (Emirati Only)

We are looking for a Head of Training and Performance section for one of our Dubai Government Clients. If you are an Emirati with experience in training and development, please apply as they have multiple jobs in training for Emiratis.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic training programs aligned with organizational goals and employee development needs.
  • Lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of training initiatives across all levels of the organization.
  • Oversee the performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews, and employee development plans.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs and ensure programs enhance employee skills and competencies.
  • Monitor training effectiveness and adjust programs as necessary to optimize outcomes and return on investment.
  • Manage training budgets, resources, and external vendor relationships to support training initiatives.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in training and performance management to continuously improve programs.
  • Foster a culture of learning and development through effective communication and promotion of training opportunities.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the training and performance management team, fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations on training metrics, outcomes, and future plans for senior management.

Requirements:

  • Emirati Only
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, or a related field. A Master's degree is often preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Training Manager, Head of Training, or similar role, with at least 6 years in training and development.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement successful training programs that drive employee engagement and performance.
  • Experience in performance management processes, including setting KPIs, conducting evaluations, and coaching employees.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess training needs, evaluate program effectiveness, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of presenting ideas clearly and building relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and other training software/tools.
