Job Description:

The Head of IT is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and management of IT projects, as well as maintaining and developing the organization's infrastructure and applications. This role focuses on ensuring that all IT systems and projects align with the business goals, operate efficiently, and support the overall business strategy. Here is a breakdown of key responsibilities, qualifications, and skills typically associated with this position:

1. Strategic Planning:

1. Develop and implement IT strategies to support business goals.
2. Plan and prioritize IT infrastructure development and project initiatives.
3. Create and maintain a roadmap for IT infrastructure upgrades, expansions, and improvements.

2. Project Management:

1. Oversee the management and delivery of multiple IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
2. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
3. Monitor project progress, risks, and issues, and implement mitigation strategies when necessary.
4. Ensure the implementation of project management best practices as governed by PMO based project management framework including its process definition, templates and tools.
5. Implementation of IT projects in terms of testing, user acceptance and project documentation.

3. Infrastructure Management:

1. Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of all IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, and cloud solutions.
2. Ensure the availability, performance, and security of the company’s IT systems.
3. Monitor emerging technologies and trends to improve infrastructure resilience and efficiency.
4. Manage relationships with third-party service providers, vendors, and contractors.
5. Negotiate contracts and ensure that all vendors meet performance and quality standards.
6. Oversee the procurement of IT equipment and services.

4. Risk Management and Compliance:

1. Identify potential risks in IT operations and projects and establish measures to mitigate those risks.
2. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, data security standards, and internal policies.
3. Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

5. Stakeholder Communication:

1. Communicate effectively with senior management and key business units to understand requirements, priorities, and expectations.
2. Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and budget performance.
3. Ensure prompt maintenance of hardware or software and sufficient systems capacity in order to prevent delays of operations.
4. Review and approve the design and finalization of technical plans (system design, platforms and integration).
5. Conduct automation for increased work efficiency / reducing manpower.
6. Keep self-updated with the new technology as well as educating and training the team about the developments happening across.
7. Advise on new and future technology for the benefit of the organization in the long run.
8. Ensure that all licenses requiring renewal are renewed on time. Advise the management about the requirement of new licenses.
9. Administration & Management of IT Department.
10. Analyze business process and its dependency on IT solution to provide appropriate IT solution.
11. Conduct training sessions for the employees to train them on various IT aspects.

Desired Candidate Profile:

1. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. 8-10+ years of experience in IT project management and infrastructure roles, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership position.
3. Understanding of SAAS model is must.
4. Must have experience of full cycle implementation of ERP.
5. Microsoft dynamics requirement is must.
6. Understanding of WMS is must.
7. Advanced Knowledge of computer hardware.
8. Advanced Knowledge of Network infrastructure.
