Job description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of HR to lead our human resources function and play a pivotal role in shaping a high-performing, engaged, and motivated workforce. This role is essential in fostering a positive and inclusive school culture while ensuring compliance with UAE labor laws, KHDA regulations, and COBIS standards. The Head of HR will work closely with school leadership to develop and implement HR policies, oversee talent acquisition and professional development, and enhance employee relations to support the school's vision and values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the school's long-term vision, ensuring compliance with UAE labor laws and KHDA regulations.
  • Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning: Lead recruitment efforts to attract and retain top-tier educators and staff, ensuring adherence to COBIS safer recruitment standards.
  • Employee Relations & Performance Management: Oversee performance evaluation systems, resolve employee relations matters, and implement recognition programs.
  • Training & Professional Development: Design staff training programs, leadership development initiatives, and bias-awareness training to promote inclusivity.
  • Compensation, Benefits & Payroll: Develop competitive salary structures and benefits packages, collaborating with finance teams for timely payroll processing.
  • HR Operations & Compliance: Maintain HR records, conduct HR audits, oversee visa processing, and ensure adherence to employment laws.
  • Employee Engagement & Well-being: Implement workplace well-being initiatives, conduct staff feedback sessions, and promote a culture of mental health awareness.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Education & Certification: Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred). CIPD, SHRM, or equivalent certifications are highly desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a senior HR leadership role (preferably in an educational setting).
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a strategic mindset.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of UAE labor laws, KHDA regulations, and COBIS safer recruitment practices.
