Head of History - Senior School

Brighton College, UK is a leading Independent-style British International School located in the United Arab Emirates. Founded in 2011 at a prime location on Abu Dhabi Island on a purpose-built, state-of-the-art campus, the College is heavily over-subscribed.

We are seeking to employ a Head of History for the Senior School commencing August 2025. The successful candidate will have a proven record of delivering lessons that inspire children to succeed in order to achieve their aspirations. You must also be a self-motivated learner and possess enthusiasm and energy to deliver lessons that engage, enthuse and motivate our learners. In doing so, you will be supported by a highly effective team of senior and middle leaders and a staff, pupil and parent body committed to the achievement of excellence.

The role is a challenging and busy one, which requires collaboration with colleagues and parents, an advanced understanding of best educational practice and a willingness to be flexible. The successful candidate will be part of a year group team and will have a professional and inclusive outlook on teamwork. It is a vibrant, busy and fulfilling place to work, but one where every teacher is expected to 'give their all'.

This is a demanding and varied position where you need to have a genuine passion for educating children. We are looking for a strong desire and commitment to ignite our pupil's curiosity in developing their knowledge, skills, understanding through leading teaching practices and methods.
