Our client is a Commodity & Trade finance company headquartered in Dubai.

Title: Head of Finance

Location: Dubai

Overview:

• A seasoned finance professional from a reputable commodity trading business or something similar.
• Contribute to achieving the strategic objectives by providing timely, sound, and practical financial counsel to the CEO and COO.
• Previous experience working in Europe with reputable businesses.
• Oversee the financial reporting, prepare periodical management reports, and review progress against financial plans and budgets.
• Experience in both fiduciary & management accounting, with a strong understanding of IFRS.
• Present the monthly performance management reports to the CEO, highlight areas that require attention, and propose initiatives and recommendations for action.
• Ability to take on strategic ideas into new markets and formulate and execute financial & accounting solutions.
• Seen as a mentor of the existing finance and accounting department and pushed the envelope for professional standards and growth.
• Experience in regional, European and African markets.
• Master's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Professional accounting & finance certification, such as CPA / CA / ACCA.

Ideally, we are looking for a Finance professional to step up into a Head of Finance position and further grow the finance and accounting department.
