Head of Finance

As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a highly experienced Head of Finance and Controlling for our Sales and Service Unit in the UAE.

Your new role

1. Develop and implement financial strategies to support the unit's business objectives.
2. Prepare and present financial forecasts, budgets, and financial reports to senior management.
3. Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
4. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with local and international accounting standards.
5. Monitor and control budgetary variances and implement corrective actions as needed.
6. Oversee internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
7. Collaborate with the Sales and Service teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
8. Drive profitability improvement initiatives and cost management strategies.
9. Act as a financial advisor to the management team, providing strategic recommendations.
10. Lead and develop the finance and controlling team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
11. Set performance objectives and conduct regular performance reviews.
12. Provide coaching and mentoring for team members to enhance their skills and career development.
13. Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including credit and collection, payroll, and cash management.
14. Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and other financial partners.
15. Optimise financial processes and systems for efficiency and accuracy.

What you'll need to succeed

1. Minimum of 10 years of overall experience in finance, with a significant portion in a sales or trading-based business environment.
2. Proven experience working in the UAE, with a strong understanding of local financial regulations and business practices.
3. Demonstrated experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
4. Strong leadership and team management skills.
5. Experience in export control would be an advantage.
