Head of Performing Arts required for August 2025

The successful candidate will:

1. Demonstrate a creative approach to teaching and learning with the ability to inspire and motivate students with a diverse range of talents and abilities.
2. Demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to lead, manage, and inspire a team of teachers and support staff.
3. Be committed to developing extracurricular activities and fostering a love of Arts across the school community.
4. Have experience in organizing and leading school performing arts events and competitions.
5. Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, colleagues, and parents.
6. Be a reflective practitioner, committed to continuous professional development and staying abreast of the latest advancements in Arts pedagogy.
7. Have the necessary skills and vision to have the highest expectations for all, using data to meet the needs of all learners, offering appropriate challenge and support where necessary.
8. Be an Arts specialist with the necessary experience, skills, and knowledge to deliver Art through to A level.
9. A passion for promoting health, well-being, and lifelong participation in Art is essential, alongside a clear vision for how Art contributes to the overall personal and academic development of students.

Successful applicants will:

• Be honest, transparent, and have integrity.
• Hold a QTS or PGCE teaching qualification, preferably from the UK.
• Have a minimum of three years of experience in teaching.
• Be able to provide an ICPC and a UK enhanced DBS or equivalent police check.
• Be professional in appearance and conduct.
• Be willing to contribute to the wider curriculum and support the vision of the school.
