Head of Credit Cards Acquisitions & Onboarding

JOB PURPOSE:

Key role is to manage, optimize and transform the credit card onboarding, acquisition, and card payments solutions across FAB & Dubai First credit cards. With a focus to ensure our end-to-end cards onboarding journey is market-leading, working with key business partners to drive top of the funnel marketing, digital journey optimization, and balanced credit conversion. Also, to deliver a strong return on investment and sustainable growth in new cards acquisitions, with the right quality and product mix across the desired channels to budget. Lastly, with a focus to keep customers digitally onboarded working with the schemes to leverage market-leading payment features or products to bring a true in-app digital CX to life.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. End to End Cards Onboarding: Ownership of both short-term and long-term business objectives to materially improve the customer and banker experience when taking out and first using your credit card.
  2. Top of the Funnel Marketing: Designing and tracking market-leading welcome offers across various channels, working with marketing function and agency to yield the best results.
  3. Optimize Credit Card Journeys: Work with digital teams to identify opportunities to reduce drop-offs and customer pain points.
  4. Improving Credit Conversion: Work with credit and risk to balance approval rates and collections flows.

Card Business Acquisition:

  1. Deliver a full-year plan, managing key drivers of net account growth from sustainable acquisitions with focus on key drivers, objectives, and achieving business targets.
  2. Drive P&L outcomes.
  3. Focus on quality of acquisition, profitability, and sound credit and fraud risk management.
  4. ROI management and optimization across channels.
  5. Support or drive product launches.

Payments:

Continuous development of market-leading card and digital features in-app, to make FAB cards the best way to pay, borrow, and reward in the UAE. Ensure a customer can be digital-first in their application journey and beyond.

Internal & External Collaboration:

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and design processes, rules of engagement, and ways of work with an objective for digitalization, simplification, and rationalization to achieve high standards of service. Main internal stakeholders include:

Ability to lead and inspire direct team and broader end-to-end business and partners. Ability to influence change and drive results, delivering key tangible outcomes to market. Build up team capabilities and ensure knowledge transfer and continuous development. Empower people to create a robust succession plan. Manage hiring, firing, and ensure high engagement of team members. Create space for growth and enhance leadership capabilities of team members.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • University or Graduate degree in Business (MBA an advantage).
  • Domain knowledge in multiple geographies is an advantage.
  • Overall experience of at least 15 years with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Cards Product.
  • Strong marketing skills and thorough knowledge of Banking Products/Services/Payments/Digital.
  • Extensive knowledge of Financial Services industry, Central Bank's rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Agile processes and principles, Design Thinking, Digital Transformation & Sustainable Finance.
  • Analytical ability and strategic thinking.
  • Strong communications, leadership/negotiations, and interpersonal skills.
  • Management of external partners.
  • Ability to work under pressure & multi-task.
