We are looking for an experienced Head of Business Development who will lead an established Business Development team in Dubai and Riyadh. The Head of Business Development will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to grow the business. They are responsible for identifying new opportunities, building relationships, and driving revenue growth.
It is important that the right candidate can demonstrate their experience in developing new business opportunities as well as motivating a sales team to contribute to the organisations growth objectives.
Business Development
Research and examine market trends, competitor activities, and business opportunities.
Identifying the industry sectors within the UAE and KSA region where the organisation can offer a high level of service.
Create a development plan for new business, targeting key customers for the company.
Develop business development strategies, objectives and initiatives in the region.
Build relationships by engaging with key stakeholders, potential partners, and clients.
Identify and agree on a target list of potential clients in all sectors of the organisations disciplines: exhibitions, events and environments.
Discuss and negotiate contracts and proposals with vendors and potential partners.
Prepare reports and presentations to senior management.
Act on behalf of the company at events, forums, workshops and exhibitions to expand brand awareness.
Team Management
Continually update and distribute the goals to the team, including their own sales targets and objectives.
Maintain and hold regular sales meetings with the team to ensure the sales efforts align with budget expectations.
Produce a set of KPI’s to monitor the effectiveness of the team and assign goals to each member.
Identify areas of training that is required for any team members that fall below the required levels of competence.
Key Requirements
10+ years of Business Development/Sales experience.
5+ years of sales team management experience.
Strong commercial background.
Experience in the design of exhibitions, events or immersive experiences is an advantage.
Arabic language skills is advantageous but not essential.
