HEAD OF BD & STRATEGY (34177)

Our client, an oil & gas company based in Fujairah, is looking for a Head of BD and Strategy who will support the strategic planning process and ensure the development of departmental business/operational plans that support the company's business growth.

Key Job Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

1. Ensure strategic planning outcomes are highly effective and well aligned with the directions and objectives of the company.
2. Develop and implement a strategy for energy transition within the company, with a focus on promoting clean energy, energy efficiency, and sustainable practices.
3. Work closely with the CEO to identify and pursue viable business opportunities.
4. Identify opportunities as well as drive changes to improve implementation and evaluation of strategic and business development processes.
5. Provide leadership to develop and implement strategies to ensure a robust mechanism to monitor and track progress against the plans for each department.
6. Work closely with each department to ensure strategy, mission, and vision are translated into departmental business plans.
7. Participate in formulating strategy and articulating a business model to achieve its defined goals including three- and five-year business plans.
8. Work with department heads to support the development of business plans in line with strategy.
9. Identify, evaluate, and recommend opportunities for business diversification.
10. Drive the investment team to source high-quality investment projects.
11. Lead the due diligence, financial modeling, negotiation, and closure of all investment deals and ensure legal and regulatory compliance with all deals.
12. Continuously analyze operations and data to identify areas where the company can improve and make recommendations for operational excellence initiatives that can drive business results.
13. Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging employees to identify and implement process improvements and by recognizing and rewarding those who contribute to operational excellence.
14. Lead, coach, and manage the performance of the team in line with good people management practices.

Experience and Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 12 years of experience, with significant experience in the oil and gas industry.
2. Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Administration, Economics, Commerce, or equivalent.
