Job Description
Purpose for the role:
To lead the provision of performance and business planning support to the CIO and the team, encompassing strategic planning support, performance planning and reporting support, financial/cost planning support, performance management, business/stakeholder’s relationship management in order to support with the effective completion of key activities.
Job Responsibilities:
Contribute to the divisional strategy in line with Masdar’s vision, mission and overall strategy.
Ensure that the strategy is translated into annual operational business plans and KPIs for the unit that is under own leadership and that performance is monitored and reported so that any necessary actions are taken in a timely manner.
Manage staff and teams by overseeing their performance management, recruitment, training and development to ensure high levels of engagement and competence and motivated work environment.
Ensure appropriate succession plans are in place for key positions within the team.
Manage the planning, review and reporting on monthly performance against budget and business plans.
Manage the preparation of monthly performance reporting and KPIs for the division and ensure timely and accurate completion of all required information.
Contribute to the manpower planning, resource allocation and resource optimisation processes, as well as organization chart review.
Ensure timely coordination with the relevant units in order to obtain and refine inputs required for the strategic planning process.
Participate and contribute to regular process improvement initiatives.
Identify potential process improvements and document gaps between as-is and to-be business processes.
Document business processes in coordination with units.
Manage data analysis and research findings and present analytical reports to the line manager to support projects and decision making.
Manage preparation of strategic documents and related research to support the team’s activities.
Track defined areas, companies and metrics.
Manage reports for the CIO/Directors/Heads based on research outcomes and business intelligence.
Manage relationships with service level providers are managed smoothly and effectively in a way that guarantees that Masdar is provided with quality and timely services, in line with relevant service level agreements.
Oversee the continuous improvement and implementation of unit systems, policies and procedures covering all areas of activity so that all relevant procedural/ legislative requirements and standards are fulfilled while ensuring that policies and procedures support the delivery of the strategy.
Ensure that all relevant reports are completed in a comprehensive, accurate and timely manner, and comply with international principles of corporate governance and standards, and shareholder requirements.
Present regular and ad-hoc management reports as and when required by stakeholders, shareholders, Excom and the CEO.
Provide support on other tasks as and when required by the line manager, including but not limited to writing key documents and correspondences.
Lead project or special assignments as required.
Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
Adhere to any applicable Masdar information security policies and procedures and identify and report security incidents and suspected weaknesses to the appropriate point(s) of contact.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
8-10 years of experience in performance and business planning or similar role in a large organization or equivalent experience
International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
