Job description

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist members and guests with a warm, friendly demeanor to create a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Manage membership inquiries and registrations efficiently, ensuring accurate data entry into the system.
  • Coordinate class schedules and reservations, keeping members informed about availability and changes.
  • Handle customer complaints with professionalism, striving for prompt resolutions to enhance member satisfaction.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area, ensuring it reflects the gym's standards.
  • Process payments and manage transactions accurately, including memberships, merchandise, and services.
  • Provide information about gym facilities, classes, and personal training options, tailoring responses to individual needs.
  • Assist in marketing efforts by promoting special events, promotions, and membership drives to boost engagement.
  • Collaborate with management and staff to identify and implement improvements in customer service and operations.
  • Monitor access control to the gym, ensuring that only authorized members and guests enter the facility.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in hospitality or fitness management are a plus.
  • Proficiency in gym management software and POS systems to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with members and staff.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a customer service role, preferably in a fitness or wellness environment.
