Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and organized Group Marketing and Communications Executive to support our marketing and communications department. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating and assisting with various administrative and operational tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of the department. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Administrative Support:
    • Oversee marketing & communication trackers, and other administrative tasks.
    • Identify and maintain a comprehensive database of customers, leads, sponsors, media, and other potential client bases for effective and targeted communication.
    • Undertake all administration of marketing activities, including upkeep of database, image, and content library in a cohesive manner.
  2. Content and Collateral Management:
    • Maintain an effective and updated file of the company's press kit, sales kits, biographies, developments, and photography for any marketing purposes.
    • Assist with tracking, ordering, and maintaining stock levels of collateral, giveaways, and other marketing procurements.
    • Assist in the drafting and reviewing of copy, to ensure alignment with group messaging and tone.
  3. Media Relations and Event Coordination:
    • Assist in handling all dissemination of information to the media and maintain an effective working relationship with all members of target media, both electronic and print, at local, national, and international levels.
    • Assist in managing photography shoots on the property, including liaison with operational departments during the shoots.
    • Assist in hosting members of the media, strategic partners, and clients at functions and events to strengthen the reputation of the property and the brand.
  4. Internal Communications:
    • Assist and implement internal communication strategies to ensure effective information flow within the company.
    • Assist with the creation of internal newsletters, intranet content, and other communication channels.
    • Coordinate with HR and other departments to communicate company policies, events, and updates.
    • Organize internal events and meetings to foster a positive workplace culture.
  5. Content Creation:
    • Produce high-quality content for various platforms, including websites, social media, newsletters, and presentations.
    • Ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all communication materials.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to align PR and communications efforts with marketing campaigns.
  6. Budget and Reporting:
    • Manage the budget tracker to ensure all expenditures are monitored and recorded accurately.
    • Ensure that all administration duties are processed quickly and efficiently.
    • Assist in submitting a monthly report to the General Manager - Marketing, updating on all matters related to the activities within the department.
  7. Market Intelligence:
    • Provide monthly updates on market intelligence, including competitor activity and events.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  2. 3+ years of experience in marketing and communications, preferably in a support or coordination role.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
  4. Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  5. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  7. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  9. Experience with media relations and event coordination is a plus.
