Job Description

We are hiring a successful candidate for the role of Group General Manager of Industries (API Machine Shop Products & ASME Fabrication Unit) in reputed Oil & Gas equipment manufacturing companies.

Planning & Operations of the local business unit in UAE. Reporting to the Chairman, the Group GM will manage, direct operations, lead the organization, and provide a boost to all functions within the UAE office. Responsibilities include planning, developing objectives, developing organizational policies, integrating functions and operations between departments, and establishing responsibilities and procedures to achieve the organization’s strategic objectives.

Drive business opportunities throughout GCC / Middle East, with the aim of expanding to new markets or capturing additional market share.

Key Responsibilities

1. Structure of the Profit and Loss Statements.
2. Prepare and present Annual Operating Sales Plan to Senior Management.
3. Make Professional Policy & Procedures.
4. Set KPI Targets for all Departments.
5. Chair Weekly/Monthly/Annual Management Review Meetings.
6. Maintain customer relationships in cooperation with the Business Areas for Multiple Industrial Development programs in the UAE.
7. Provide recommendations to strategically enhance the corporation’s international growth objectives.
8. Provide liaison for Business Areas with all industrial partners, Offset Authority, UAE industries/businesses, and various business councils.
9. Establish and maintain key relationships among key business, military, and academic leaders and senior country officials.

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

1. Highly experienced in the field of Industrial or business development.
2. International business experience with knowledge of international cultures and customs; prior experience living in UAE is strongly preferred.
3. In-depth understanding of UAE industrial development programs/policies.
4. Excellent verbal, written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills necessary to communicate clearly with multiple levels of business, government, and leadership.
5. Ability to understand and interpret international customers' needs and requirements.
6. A willingness to travel worldwide without restriction.
7. Must be self-motivated and able to operate with minimal guidance in a highly competitive arena.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. A Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
2. Must have a demonstrated history and success in the Oil and Gas industry.
3. Must be a hands-on leader, capable of harmonizing a growing business.
4. Experience in managing UAE-based operations is required.
5. A minimum of 10 years of relevant bottom-line business operations management experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
