Group Chief Information Officer

Purpose of the Job

Responsibility for developing and implementing the information technology initiatives that aligns with the group IT business plan. Manages all IT activity in support of the companies’ operations in order to improve cost effectiveness, service quality, and mission development and is responsible for all aspects of the company’s information technology and systems.

Job Accountabilities

• Development of an integrated IT strategy to enable and support the Group plan.
• Participate in strategic and operational governance processes of the company and provide technical recommendations and identifying IT risks and opportunities
• Develop and maintain an appropriate IT organizational structure that supports the needs of the business.
• Lead the IT department and ensure the team is aligned with the group’s vision, mission, values and strategic priorities.
• Lead on the development of, maintenance of and compliance with IT specific Standard Operating Procedures
• Coordinate and facilitate consultation with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.
• Define and communicate corporate plans, policies, and standards for the organization for acquiring, implementing, and operating IT systems.
• Deliver a high-quality IT service, both within the company based on the developed service level agreements

Qualifications & Education:

Master’s Degree with a specialization in Information Systems is preferred.

Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar Group CIO role capacity with a minimum of 15-20 years of total IT experience. Must have experience of implementing and managing a large-scale ERP solution.
