About the Role :

The Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) at Group will lead and inspire the company towards continued success, growth, and expansion. Reporting to the Managing Director, the GCEO is responsible for overseeing key strategic and operational matters, ensuring alignment with the company’s mission and vision. This executive will serve as the chief spokesperson and decision-maker, driving initiatives, managing executive leadership, and delivering key performance reports to the Board of Directors.

Primary Job Responsibilities :

  • Serve as the chief spokesperson, representing Group’s best interests and enhancing its reputation.
  • Create an environment that rewards exceptional performance and fosters positive morale.
  • Support the Board of Directors (BoD) in balanced and objective decision-making.
  • Participate actively in Board committees and ensure alignment with corporate goals.
  • Oversee compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Review, endorse, and present annual business plans and budgets to the BoD.
  • Ensure the full and prompt execution of BoD decisions.
  • Appoint and delegate responsibilities to the executive management team.

Execution :

  • Analyze key data and reports to track business performance and objective achievement.
  • Motivate subordinates and foster employee engagement to build a high-performing managerial team.
  • Align Group’s strategy with its mission, vision, and strategic goals.
  • Communicate strategic directions to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with performance objectives.
  • Make key decisions to ensure continuous progress and adaptability to internal and external factors.
  • Oversee and mitigate principal business risks effectively.
  • Supervise key business operations to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Govern and oversee the executive management team and their respective departments.
  • Evaluate and identify new business opportunities for Group.

Coordination & Performance :

  • Ensure timely execution of BoD decisions.
  • Present quarterly and annual performance reports to the BoD.
  • Provide leadership and accountability for the executive management team’s performance.
  • Review monthly reports and suggest improvements as necessary.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management / Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • An MBA or Postgraduate Degree in Business Administration is required.
  • Certification or a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 15 years of leadership and technical experience, preferably in the MENA region.
  • Experience in Construction, Real Estate, or Hospitality is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience managing large business units with full accountability for income statements and balance sheets.
  • Extensive knowledge of operations in a similar organizational setting.
  • Experience designing and managing operational plans for efficient resource use.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage business initiatives within timelines and budgets.
  • Strong business acumen with a dynamic and self-driven approach.
  • Strategic thinking and a focus on high-quality outcomes.
  • Excellent leadership skills, including people management, development, and selection.
  • Strong command of written and spoken English; Arabic language proficiency is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical, planning, forecasting, and problem-solving abilities.
