Graduate Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is looking for recent Engineering Graduates to join our Engineering team in Dubai and Sharjah.

As part of this graduate program, you will work for one of the world's largest multinational engineering companies and get the opportunity to be involved in world class projects in Dubai/Sharjah.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Performs a variety of routine tasks that are planned to provide experience and familiarization with the engineering staff and the methods, practices, and programs of the company.
2. Provides straightforward solutions to problems using readily available, clear, and direct references.
3. Collects and evaluates data and develops plans for assignments that may involve design application.
4. Prepares simple plans and designs, calculations and bills of material in accordance with established specifications.
5. Carries out routine analysis and works in accordance with instructions.
6. Assists more experienced technical personnel with specific aspects of more complex tasks.
7. Assists with the specification and selection of equipment to meet project criteria.
8. Initiates the exchange of required technical concepts and information with the Design staff and other disciplines.
9. Assignments typically involve individual project phases or projects of limited scope.
10. Prepares reports on their assignments and makes recommendations on the solution of technical problems within the scope of assignment.
11. Assignments often involve basic technical observations, analysis and modifications of simple components.
12. Participates in design reviews as note-taker.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline
• Fresh graduate / 0-12 months of experience
• Enthusiastic, conscientious and keen to learn
• Highly motivated and demonstrates personal initiative
