The Position:

Reporting to the Telesales Manager, you will be responsible for handling incoming queries from web-based customers to meet their needs, with the goal of closing the sale. You will also be responsible for generating sales through outbound calls to leads generated via the website and work to problem solve and ensure an accurate, efficient, and smooth sales process. Due to the global nature of this business, flexibility around shifts is required to be able to meet client needs.


Main Duties / Responsibilities

  1. Respond to all customer inbound & Internet enquiries relating to eligibility, plan benefit coverage, policy terms and conditions and strive for first call resolution.
  2. Achieve sales targets pre-determined by management.
  3. Communicate regularly with members.
  4. Achieve/exceed set productivity and quality standards.
  5. Adhere to regulatory targets within our territorial limits.
  6. Sell with integrity and treat customers fairly.
  7. Interface effectively with internal colleagues, the client management team, the medical team staff, etc. to resolve customer issues.
  8. Maintain accurate records and files as required.
  9. Actively support other team members and the achievement of team objectives.
  10. Provide support to less experienced team members.
  11. Identify potential process improvements and make recommendations to Team Leader.
  12. Carry out other ad hoc tasks as required to meet business needs.


Skills / Experience

  1. Strong customer focus with the ability to identify and solve problems.
  2. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  3. Good verbal and written communication.
  4. Ability to exercise judgment.
  5. Ability to organize, prioritize and manage workflow.
  6. The ability to work well in a team environment.
  7. Basic system navigation and Microsoft application skills.
  8. Good keyboard skills.
  9. Regulatory awareness.
  10. Proven track record in telemarketing insurance sales inbound and outbound, ideally in a non-advised sales process.
  11. 1 – 2 years’ experience in the health industry, insurance background or outbound sales background.

Please ensure that you are able to meet the shift requirement for this role (10 hours per shift, 4 shifts per week, across 24 hours) and also are able to demonstrate on your application your sales experience within a highly regulated environment.
