We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated person to join the Global Professional Services team as a Global Solution Architect in the Platform Service line. This is a great opportunity to influence SimCorp's future solutions and to engage in strategic initiatives, bringing long-term value to our clients.
This position is open exclusively to current SimCorp employees and professionals with hands-on SimCorp Dimension/SimCorp tooling expertise. We value the unique insights and experience that our internal and ex-SimCorp community brings to the table.

We foresee significant commercial growth for new PS services as SimCorp One platform opens new opportunities powered by modern cloud technologies. The Global Solution Architect will be instrumental in defining how we turn the opportunity into results, where development of practices & skills and adoption by consultants will be the pathway to achievements. Product Development is an important stakeholder, and the Global Solution Architect must collaborate closely with the relevant product managers to ensure efficient communication about trends, tools, and practices.
This is a global position, and the location of employment can be at several SimCorp offices around the world. Willingness to travel internationally will be required based on where SimCorp's customers are located globally, although most of the engagements are virtual now. The Solution Architects report into the Global Practice Lead.
What you will be responsible for
- Design and support SCD integration solutions based on Communication Server, Data Extractor, and Data Format Setups.
- Create optimal data flows for different client business outcomes based on enterprise capabilities.
- Develop data pipelines from source to destination using tools such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Streamsets, Fivetran, Talend, Mulesoft, etc.
- Solve data transformation and ensure data consistency and integrity.
- Design target architecture and data flows that align with business goals and technical requirements.
- Detect and address performance optimization potential at clients.
- Develop secure solutions that protect sensitive information.
- Advise on deployed data services and their consistent interaction within clients' business processes.
- Work closely with the project teams during Onboarding, Build, and Test to secure applied data engineering principles and methods.
- Drive initiation and execution of improvements according to continuous improvement and change processes.
- Understand how data impacts service TCO to guide the SaaS Operations business.
- Create compelling sales material for usage in client engagements.
Knowledge management
- Lay out new skills improvement path for our consulting community.
- Actively engage in improving Data engineering best practices based on the global delivery model and know-how of consultants.
- Ensure all the necessary collateral is in place to support our Compass delivery methodology and champion this in our organization.
- Collaborate and align among Solution Architects to ensure a common global approach to solutions and methodologies.
- Create education material and deliver trainings.

- Relevant degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
- Knowledge of business processes and how they relate to data integration needs.
- Solid understanding of general SCD concepts and principles.
- Proficiency in languages like Python, Java, and Scala.
- Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with different ETL tools.
- Understanding of big data frameworks like MongoDB, Hadoop, and Spark.
- Experience with cloud services such as Azure and AWS.
- Knowledge of data security practices and compliance requirements.
- At least 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Well-refined problem-solving skills.
