Job description

We are currently working with a global events and communications agency based in Dubai, seeking a Global Head of Business Development. This strategic role will drive international growth through a robust business development strategy, targeting markets across the Americas, Asia, Europe, and the GCC. This is a dynamic opportunity for a senior leader with a proven track record in global business development within the events industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Business Development Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to drive growth, build new client relationships, and expand the company’s reach globally.
  2. Market Diversification: Identify new markets and opportunities in the global events and conference industry, particularly in emerging regions, leveraging deep industry knowledge and existing networks (New markets: Americas, Europe, GCC excl. KSA and KSA).
  3. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with governments, corporations, international organizations, and key stakeholders to secure high-value partnerships, and mentor the Regional BD Directors.
  4. Sales Leadership: Lead the end-to-end sales process, including identifying leads, delivering pitches, negotiating contracts, and closing deals.
  5. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the business development team, set performance targets, and drive a culture of excellence in business acquisition.
  6. Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with content, production, marketing, and project teams to ensure that business development efforts are aligned with the company’s service offerings and client needs.
  7. Market Insights and Analysis: Keep abreast of market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to inform strategy and identify potential growth areas.
