Summary

Huda Beauty is looking for a highly motivated eCommerce Marketing Director to drive our DTC, social commerce and lead our ambitious international expansion. The eCommerce Marketing Director will drive all marketing activities for our Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) channels. This role is crucial in planning, managing, and executing our promotional and trade marketing strategies to achieve both brand and commercial goals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for crafting original, on-brand promotional ideas, anticipating market needs, and optimizing plans based on performance metrics. Additionally, this position will oversee the expansion of social commerce initiatives, focusing on content creation, live streaming, and maintaining strong partnerships with platform vendors to drive growth and engagement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Trade and Promo Planning:

    Develop, execute, and manage the D2C promotional and trade marketing calendar. Drive promotional strategy, ensuring activities are aligned with brand objectives and sales targets. Plan, forecast, and track promotional activities. Create KPIs to measure success, optimize based on data, and maintain a balance between brand integrity and commercial effectiveness. Generate innovative ideas to enhance promotional impact and improve campaign performance. Manage the promotional budget in line with the business profitability goal.

  2. Performance Analysis and Optimization:

    Analyze the success of trade plans and product launches using quantitative KPIs. Provide regular reporting on promo effectiveness and customer engagement. Continuously optimize strategies to maximize commercial impact and brand integrity.

  3. 360 Content Strategy:

    Oversee the end-to-end content planning, editorial calendar, and content briefing process for our global eCommerce site. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage content needs for landing pages, product detail pages, and other digital assets, ensuring best-in-class eCommerce conversion. Partner with Creative/Design teams to brief content that aligns with our brand standards and conversion goals.

  4. International Go-to-Market Strategy:

    Develop and execute localized go-to-market strategies for product launches, key events, and shopping holidays. Collaborate with local teams to create differentiated, data-driven content strategies tailored to each market. Ensure seamless alignment between trade plans and brand vision to meet commercial targets.

  5. Social Commerce Expansion:

    Lead and expand social commerce initiatives to drive engagement and sales. Manage content creation for social commerce, including live streaming and interactive experiences. Build and maintain strong commercial relationships with platform vendors to enhance brand visibility and reach.

  6. SEO and User Experience:

    Manage and optimize international SEO strategies in collaboration with the Website team. Ensure that website content is fully optimized for search engines and delivers a seamless user experience.

  7. Cross-functional Collaboration:

    Partner closely with Retention, Acquisition, and other stakeholders to support their localized content and copy needs.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years working on eCommerce, web service, or D2C brand
  • Proven experience in eCommerce marketing, with a strong focus on D2C promotional and trade planning.
  • Expertise in social commerce and content creation, including live streaming and platform partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of KPIs and performance metrics, with the ability to analyze and optimize based on data.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with an ability to manage budgets and timelines effectively.
  • Proficient in SEO and digital user experience principles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.
  • Experience working within the beauty industry preferred.
