Our client school is a prestigious, premium British international school located in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly qualified, and experienced German Teacher to join our established client school in the vibrant capital city of UAE, Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering engaging and inspiring lessons that promote the love of language learning and cultural understanding. You will be responsible for teaching German across various year groups, preparing students for external examinations, and fostering their development in line with the school's values and educational ethos.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality German lessons that cater to a diverse range of abilities and learning styles.
- Teach German at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages language acquisition and cultural appreciation.
- Monitor, assess, and provide constructive feedback to support student progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans, teaching resources, and extracurricular language activities.
- Contribute to the broader life of the College through participation in school events, clubs, or activities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of educational developments in Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) teaching, particularly in German.
Requirements-Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- A degree in German or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching German to secondary school students, including preparation for external exams such as GCSE and A-Level.
- Excellent command of German and English, both written and spoken.
- A passion for language teaching and a commitment to fostering global citizenship through cultural understanding.
Desirable
- Previous experience teaching in an international school setting.
- Familiarity with the British National Curriculum or a comparable curriculum framework.
- Ability to teach an additional language is an advantage but not essential.
