General Technician

We are seeking a skilled and versatile General Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of various mechanical electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems throughout our facility.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, clean, maintain, and repair all MEP systems on the premises
• Perform preventive maintenance procedures and utilize test equipment effectively
• Maintain electrical systems and lighting throughout the facility
• Service and repair HVAC units and systems
• Troubleshoot and fix nonoperational equipment promptly
• Conduct chemical tests for boilers, chillers, motors, and other relevant systems
• Manage inventory of parts and materials in the maintenance shop
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient completion of tasks
• Adhere to safety protocols and local building codes and regulations
• Respond to customer requests and maintenance emergencies in a timely manner
• Document all maintenance activities and update records in the maintenance management system

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a General Technician or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing
• Proficiency in preventive maintenance procedures and use of test equipment
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with inventory management and parts ordering
• Proficient in English language (verbal and written communication)
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Technical certifications in HVAC, electrical systems, or related fields (preferred)
• Knowledge of safety protocols and compliance requirements
• Basic computer skills for using maintenance management systems
• Previous experience in a 5-star hotel (preferred)
