Job Description

Reporting to the Director, Engineering, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

1. Repair, maintain and install work according to departmental procedures.
2. Complete requests in a timely, accurate, efficient and knowledgeable manner.
3. Maintenance of Chillers, Freezers, split units, AHU, fan coils, cold rooms.
4. Preventive Maintenance of refrigeration systems.
5. Preventive maintenance for all kitchen equipment, pumps, and air conditioning.
6. A self-starter who takes initiative and can make decisions in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Qualifications

1. Reasonably high level of knowledge and skill in Air conditioning, Refrigeration, and Electrical.
2. Must have the ability to multi-task.
3. Should have knowledge and skills to work with Chillers, Freezers, split units, AHU, fan coils, and cold rooms.
4. Proficient in the English language (verbal & written); a second language is an asset.
5. Previous experience in the field is required.
6. Candidate should have a minimum of two years' experience in the same position with a trade certificate in A/C and refrigeration (HVAC).
7. Ability to repair and maintain A/C air handling units, fan coils, and cold storage and refrigerators.
8. Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures and use of test equipment.
9. Proficiency in the above areas and a good foundation in all other areas.

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

1. Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift.
2. Lifting and carrying.
3. Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, and sitting.
4. Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps.
