General Practitioner

Job Summary: The General Practitioner (GP) is responsible for delivering comprehensive and ongoing medical care to patients. They diagnose and treat a variety of conditions, provide preventive care, and manage overall patient health. The GP operates in a primary care setting, often working in clinics, private practices, or as part of a healthcare team in hospitals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient Assessment and Diagnosis:
   Conduct thorough physical examinations and take detailed medical histories.
   Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood tests, imaging studies, and other relevant investigations.
   Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions and illnesses, from acute to chronic.
2. Treatment and Management:
   Develop and implement treatment plans based on diagnosis and patient needs.
   Prescribe medications and therapies, and monitor their effectiveness and side effects.
   Provide minor surgical procedures and interventions as required.
3. Preventive Care:
   Offer health education and counseling to patients regarding lifestyle changes, preventive measures, and health maintenance.
   Administer vaccinations and screenings as part of preventive healthcare strategies.
   Promote health and wellness through regular check-ups and health monitoring.
4. Patient Relationship Management:
   Build and maintain long-term relationships with patients by offering consistent, personalized care.
   Provide emotional support and address patient concerns and questions.
   Coordinate with specialists and other healthcare providers for comprehensive patient care.
