tMart, our dark store business, is the region's first dark store concept offering 20-30 minute delivery of groceries to our customers.
We are currently hiring for a General Manager of tMart UAE who will be responsible for driving the growth of the dark store business across the UAE with the below responsibilities:
Setting overall commercial and operations strategy (mission format positioning) and identifying new market opportunities, setting targets for revenue and growth, and formulating business strategies with the platform.
Identifying and pursuing opportunities for business growth such as partnerships and collaborations, and being responsible for building relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.
Working closely with the marketing and growth team to develop strategies for acquiring and retaining customers. This may involve setting marketing campaigns, analyzing customer clusters, and optimizing marketing planning.
Accountable to enhance customer experience in alignment with logistics and customer experience functions by evaluating service quality and customer satisfaction.
Accountable for the company P&L and managing budgets, planning, monitoring expenses, and ensuring that financial targets are met. He/She will work closely with the finance team to prepare financial reports and forecasts.
Accountable for day-to-day operations by implementing efficient processes and procedures. He/She will be involved in optimizing workflows, improving productivity, and resolving operational issues.
Working closely with the product development team to define product roadmaps, prioritize features, and ensure that products are meeting customer needs and market demands.
Identifying potential risks to the business and developing strategies to mitigate them, as well as assessing market, regulatory, or operational risks that could impact the company's success.
Qualifications:
At least 10 years of experience in consumer retail or CPG. Alternatively, you might have worked in a consulting capacity in this industry and are looking forward to an operator role.
Experience in building teams and leading cross-functional projects at scale.
Experience working within logistics or real estate is also advantageous.
Detail-oriented, structured, and knows how to prioritize; you consider yourself someone who delivers solutions.
High level of commitment and resilience to succeed and willing to roll your sleeves up when required.
Strong stakeholder management skills and able to manage relationships with senior-level executives.
Ability to work with ambiguity and a strong growth mindset.
Excellent analytical and communication skills, and always like to be hands-on with several tools.
Robust interpersonal and intercultural skills with the ability to inspire teams and stakeholders to rally behind a mission.
Strong network within the CPG industry and authorities.
