About the Role
As a General Manager of Sales, you will be responsible for leading both the direct fleet and dealer sales teams, managing key partnerships, and driving revenue growth through both channels. As the vast majority of sales will be B2B, primarily to medium and large fleets, this role involves developing strategies that align with overall business objectives and engaging directly with key accounts to drive the development of the business. The Sales GM will also ensure compliance with corporate guidelines while optimizing fleet operations to meet the specific needs of large-scale customers, including leasing companies, corporate clients, and government contracts.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading the daily performance of the sales team by following up on sales, delivery and NPS achievements and taking part in irregular transactions during peak season to ensure that the required regional sales target is achieved.
- Plans and manages sales teams to achieve predetermined operational targets by providing and analyzing business plans to meet operation targets determined by the regional management.
- Monitor and evaluate the sales team performance to ensure that the specific portfolios of business performances are met by taking corrective action in conjunction with the regional management, whenever required.
- Responsible for ensuring sales processes are efficient and customer complaints are managed by promoting standard sales procedures to the sales team members.
- Provide inputs and directions to the sales team by sharing the monthly and yearly sales target for review and appropriate action of the regional management.
- Initiate dialogue with sales team, Center management and BIT HUB to discuss and address sales target issues, supply chain challenges, customer complaints and improvement opportunities through regular meetings.
- Meet with the sales team to update on product knowledge through regular discussion and sharing information to enhance sales team confidence and performance.
- Address high-end customer complaints that require support from the Sales Managers and Venter management to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Assists Sales Managers in manpower forecasts and deployment plans to be included in the Regional Sales Development Plan.
- Keeps informed of sales activities through review of information from the field, branches, and other sources.
- Track the regional sales team activities to ensure that all activities are carried out as per the company's policies and procedures through effective communication, monitoring, and feedback mechanism.
- Develop and implement sales plans and processes for immediate review and approval by the Regional GM.
- Continuously monitor and analyze sales achievements, assisting Kaizen activities as well as adjustment to business strategies to achieve sales targets.
- Manage documentation and legal government relation matters pertaining to the sales function by adhering to the prescribed government rules and procedures to minimize legal implications to the business.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Proven experience as a senior leader in fleet, demonstrating a track record of successfully growing and developing such functions.
- Extensive knowledge of the UAE fleet market, including current industry trends and competitive landscape.
- Excellent skills in building and managing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to develop and execute long-term growth strategies and align them with company goals to drive business success.
