General Manager - Longevity Health Association

We are seeking an experienced and visionary General Manager to establish and lead the Longevity Health Association in the UAE market. This role is responsible for setting up the organization, developing operational frameworks, building strong industry networks, and driving the association's strategic growth. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the health and wellness sector, particularly in longevity and preventive healthcare (anti-aging therapies, regenerative medicine, wellness technologies, etc.), and have a strong background in building organizations from the ground up. This role offers an exciting opportunity to advance the longevity health movement in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Organizational Setup and Framework Development: Lead the setup of the association, including legal registration, operational policies, technology infrastructure, and staffing; establish robust processes and structures to support future growth and sustainable operations.
  2. Strategic Leadership and Vision: Develop and implement strategic initiatives to position the association as a leader in longevity and wellness across the UAE; create a roadmap for growth in partnerships, and brand presence.
  3. Market Research and Innovation: Lead comprehensive market analysis and research on longevity trends and effective treatments; identify and cultivate strategic partnerships to introduce innovative approaches, enhancing the association's offerings and relevance in the UAE.
  4. Operational Management: Oversee all aspects of the association's operations, including financial management, marketing, and events; ensure streamlined processes and impactful delivery of programs.
  5. Program Development and Event Management: Plan and deliver conferences, workshops, and networking events focused on longevity health; design initiatives that engage key stakeholders and bring industry insights, research, and educational value.
  6. Partnership Development: Build and nurture partnerships with healthcare providers, wellness centres, governmental bodies, and industry leaders to support shared objectives and expand the association's reach.
  7. Advocacy and Representation: Serve as the association's spokesperson, advocating for policies and initiatives supporting longevity health; represent the association at key industry events and forums to strengthen its role in the UAE market.
  8. Financial Oversight: Establish and manage the association's budget, ensuring prudent financial practices; oversee fundraising efforts and seek sponsorships to support growth and association activities.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Health Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree is an advantage).
  2. 10+ years of experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, wellness, or association management, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership role.
  3. Proven track record in building and managing health-focused associations or similar organizations in the UAE, with experience in organizational setup and operational development.
  4. In-depth knowledge of the longevity health and wellness industry.
  5. Strong business acumen with experience in budgeting, financial management, and strategic planning.
  6. Demonstrated success in partnership development, and leading events through full-cycle planning and execution.
  7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels and acting as a public representative.
  8. Proficiency in association management software and digital marketing tools.
  9. Entrepreneurial and Strategic Vision: Ability to set up, launch, and lead an organization with a strategic and entrepreneurial mindset focused on longevity health.
  10. Leadership and Team Building: Strong leadership and team-building abilities to foster a collaborative and mission-driven culture.
  11. Project Management Skills: Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to handle the setup phase, followed by steady growth and management of operations.
  12. Cultural Awareness and Adaptability: In-depth understanding of the UAE healthcare landscape and an ability to adapt strategies to the local market context.
