Do you have a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences? DoubleTree by Hilton Fujairah City is seeking a highly motivated and talented General Manager to lead our team and ensure the smooth operation and success of our property.

Situated in the heart of the city, the hotel is part of the Al Taif Business Centre, a mixed-use development that includes offices and residences. Guests have direct access to the Al Taif Business Centre mall. As Fujairah continues to grow as a key logistics hub in the UAE, with world-class medical facilities and numerous infrastructure projects, this hotel is perfectly positioned to attract both domestic and international guests.

DoubleTree by Hilton Fujairah City Centre features 228 upscale guest rooms, state-of-the-art meeting and event spaces, and three restaurants and bars. The hotel is conveniently located near major logistical and transport hubs like Fujairah Port and Fujairah Terminals, sports stadiums, the Fujairah International Marine Club, and key commercial and municipal offices.

The Role

This exciting General Manager position will be responsible for managing the Hotel, the Hotel Management team and delivering an excellent Guest and Team Member experience while managing profitability and meeting our Owners expectations.

What will you be doing?

Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  1. Manage and lead the hotel operation.
  2. Manage ongoing profitability of the hotel, ensuring revenue, guest satisfaction and Team Member engagement goals are met and exceeded.
  3. Lead in all key property issues including capital projects, customer service, and refurbishment.
  4. Ensure all decisions are made in the best interest of the hotel and Hilton.
  5. Deliver achievable hotel budgets, and set other short- and long-term strategic goals for the property.
  6. Provide exceptional leadership to hotel Team Members focusing on Hilton culture and values.
  7. Lead in all aspects of business planning.
  8. Comply with and exceed Hilton Brand Service Standards.
  9. Ensure costs are controlled.
  10. Manage and develop the Hotel Executive team to ensure career progression and effective succession planning within Hilton.
  11. Hold regular briefings and communication meetings with the HOD team.
  12. Respond to audits to ensure continual improvement is achieved.
What are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills with a strong focus on Owner relations and Commercial know-how, guest experience and Team Member engagement. Enthusiastic, innovative and passionate, you will have current general manager experience or be ready to embark on your first General Manager position coming from a similar property or focused service.

A General Manager serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

  • A first-time General Manager or previous General Manager with a strong Commercial background, specifically in sales with Hilton experience.
  • Strong ability to collaborate and foster networks and relationships, with owners, corporates, and Government – must be highly visible.
  • Deliver innovative commercial opportunities with experience in increasing profitability especially in the corporate and leisure segments.
  • Exceptional people leadership and retention of talent with the ability to bring a team together on a journey and instilling the Hilton culture and values.
  • Exceptional stakeholder/owner relations experience.
  • Ability to show resilience, judgement and leadership.
  • Experience managing budgets, revenue proposals, and forecasting results in a similar sized property.
  • Middle East experience is required. UAE experience will be an advantage.
  • In-depth knowledge of the hotel/leisure/service sector.
  • Degree or diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent.
