General Manager – Construction

Salary: AED 50,000 plus Family Benefits
(Salary is negotiable for the right candidate)

Our client is one of the largest and most diversified business conglomerates in the United Arab Emirates, with main interests in Construction, Education, Information Technology, Real Estate, Shopping & Retail, Sports & Leisure, and Services. Headquartered in Sharjah, this company has projects & operations in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Dubai, Sharjah, and employs over 2000 people, including the labor category.

Due to their rapidly expanding business, we have been commissioned to find a General Manager for the construction side of their business.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Coordination with government regulatory or other government agencies.
2. Ensuring all statutory and legal obligations are met.
3. Project management reports for the senior management team.
4. Supervision of 2000 employees.
5. Hiring, firing, motivating, and training employees.
6. Establishing work plans and staffing schedules for each project.
7. Identification of problems or issues at their early stages to facilitate alternative solutions.
8. Management of difficult or emotional customer situations.

To qualify for a screening interview, you will need to demonstrate 20+ years of hands-on construction industry experience and a minimum of 8+ years in a similar management role in the UAE. Ideally, you will have experience in design details, the detailed engineering program, the entire civil, mechanical and electrical construction work, and the design, creation, and installation of furniture.
