General Manager (Construction)

As the General Manager (Civil Engineering), you will play a pivotal role in managing and organizing our team of engineers, office staff, etc. while also providing strategic leadership. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient day-to-day operations of the company, collaborating with the engineering team, and reporting directly to the company owner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of civil engineers and other professionals, ensuring their performance and productivity.
• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of civil engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with the owner to set strategic goals and objectives for the company's growth and expansion.
• Develop and implement efficient operational policies and procedures for engineering projects.
• Monitor and analyze project performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions.
• Budget management, financial analysis, and reporting to ensure fiscal responsibility for engineering projects.
• Act as a point of contact between the engineering team and the owner, providing regular updates and reporting.
• Identify opportunities for business development within the civil engineering sector and develop strategies to capture them.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
• 7 years of experience in the UAE in the fields of civil engineering and project management.
• Previous experience in a leadership or management role within the civil engineering industry.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven track record of successfully managing civil engineering projects.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to execute plans effectively.
