General Manager - Automation Solutions Provider

Our client is a market-leading Automation Solutions Provider for the Materials Handling & Cargo Systems industry. They seek a reliable General Manager to lead their rapidly expanding UAE & KSA business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement strategies for sales, maintenance, and customer services to optimize branch performance and meet business goals.
2. Oversee the process from order receipt to delivery, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in every step.
3. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and consumers to ensure smooth operations and favourable terms.
4. Track project progress, ensuring adherence to quality standards, timely delivery, and cost-effective operations.
5. Address issues promptly and effectively to maintain customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
6. Lead and develop staff, providing guidance and training to enhance skills and performance.
7. Set and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational excellence.
8. Use data to monitor performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective solutions.
9. Stay updated with legal requirements and ISO standards, ensuring all operations comply.
10. Create comprehensive logistics plans to streamline operations and support business growth.
11. Ensure efficient storage and distribution of goods to meet demand.
12. Work closely with other departments to enhance overall company performance and customer satisfaction.
13. Leverage technology to optimize logistics operations and improve efficiency.
14. Identify potential risks and prepare strategies to mitigate them.

Experience and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, or Supply Chain or a related field. Demonstrated expertise in managing logistics with a focus on automation. Proven experience of 5 years in supply chain management and logistics software like SAP, and Oracle. Proven leadership skills with experience in supervising and motivating a team. In-depth knowledge of the latest logistics technologies and equipment. Skill in using data to guide strategic decisions and operational improvements. Strong ability to analyze complex data, solve problems efficiently, and organize operations effectively. Understanding of global logistics and compliance with international trade laws.
