As General Manager Yalago, you will develop and execute the long-term strategic plan to achieve revenue, profitability, and market share targets. You will oversee commercial and marketing activities, service offerings, IT roadmap, and business growth. Identifying product development opportunities and representing the business in high-level negotiations, aligned with dnata Travel strategy.
In this role, you will:
Plan:
- Develop and drive the strategic plan for business growth and profitability, aligning with dnata Travel's global strategy.
- Collaborate with IT and shared services to agree on the Business Technology roadmap.
Deploy:
- Establish an annual sales plan aligned with dnata Travel's budget, identifying new/growth clients and outlining planned sales volumes. Maintain global benchmarks for prices, margins, and revenues to ensure profitability.
- Collaborate with Corporate Communications to align marketing activities with growth and sales plans.
- Define performance objectives, recommend and implement initiatives to develop the brand, and expand into new verticals. Drive the product strategy to differentiate the brand and maintain relevance.
Lead:
- Champion a culture of open communication, clear direction, accountability, collaboration, and performance management within the dnata Travel Management Team. Define and cascade performance objectives for all levels.
- Represent the business in key stakeholder forums to drive market presence, including trade events, Central Ground service supplier initiatives, Emirates Group travel forums, and other industry bodies.
Execute:
- Accountable for achieving revenue targets, profitability, and effective utilization of overhead expenses, manpower, and capital expenditure.
- Develop and maintain a Product Strategy, ensuring governance on pricing, bed requirements, and experiential aspects.
To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of work experience in a general management or sales & business development role in the travel industry, including at least 5 years leadership experience working in bedbanks or commercial sales.
- Proven capability to organize, distribute and complete work within a multicultural environment.
- Working in multiple overseas based locations preferred.
You’ll have an edge if you have:
- Deep knowledge of the global travel industry, consumer behaviour, competitor activity and a broad network of travel industry contacts worldwide.
- Good understanding of distribution and travel technology/platforms.
