HR & Talent Acquisition Specialist | Bridging People and Technology to Drive Organizational Success

The General Manager will oversee the overall operations and strategic direction of our paper bags manufacturing facility. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong background in manufacturing, production management, and business development. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient processes, drive profitability, and foster a culture of innovation and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Management:
    1. Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
    2. Develop and implement production plans to meet market demand.
    3. Monitor production processes and address any issues that arise.
  2. Strategic Planning:
    1. Collaborate with senior leadership to define and execute the company's strategic goals.
    2. Identify opportunities for growth and expansion within the market.
    3. Analyze industry trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
    4. Prepare and manage the annual budget, ensuring financial targets are met.
    5. Analyze financial reports to track performance and implement cost-control measures.
    6. Drive initiatives to improve profitability and reduce waste.
    7. Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of managers and staff.
    8. Foster a positive workplace culture that encourages teamwork and innovation.
    9. Conduct performance evaluations and implement training programs.
  3. Quality Assurance:
    1. Ensure that all products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
    2. Implement continuous improvement processes to enhance product quality.
    3. Address customer feedback and complaints effectively.
  4. Supply Chain Management:
    1. Oversee sourcing and procurement of raw materials.
    2. Establish strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts.
    3. Manage inventory levels to optimize production and reduce costs.
  5. Sustainability Initiatives:
    1. Promote environmentally sustainable practices in manufacturing processes.
    2. Stay informed on industry regulations related to sustainability.
    3. Develop initiatives that reduce the company's carbon footprint.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
  2. Minimum 10 years of experience in a managerial role within manufacturing, preferably in the packaging industry.
  3. Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and supply chain management.
  4. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  5. Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
  6. Proficient in financial management and reporting.
  7. Knowledge of sustainability practices in manufacturing is a plus.
  8. A collaborative and innovative work environment.
