To manage the UAE Factory in a way that maximises customer satisfaction, promotes vision, inspiration and professionalism, and satisfies the wider objectives of the Company and its Directors.
Principal Functions
Ensure ongoing profitability: Maintain a full awareness of the ongoing financial situation of the operation. The General Manager is expected to work with the Accounts Dept to receive regular relevant management accounting reports. A high level of fiscal awareness is required, as are the needs to reduce waste, control costs, overheads and expenses, and maintain margins by utilising all resources effectively.
Policy making: Create, maintain and develop policies and working practices that enable the smooth running and continuous improvement of all areas of the business within the guidelines set by the Company and its Directors.
Taking responsibility: Oversee all principal functions of the operation – Factory, Warehouse, Accounts, Purchasing, Stock Control, Tea Tasting, Human Resources, and IT – and foster cooperation between them and efficiency in their working practices to help streamline the operation as a whole.
Any other reasonable duties as assigned by the Board of Directors.
