Job description

We are looking for an experienced Holiday Homes General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Holiday Home Company as well as provide strategic direction.

The GM is responsible for all aspects of operations, from day-to-day team management to overall company targets to grow our property portfolio. You will plan and supervise the activities of an extensive and diverse workforce to ensure the smooth and profitable running of the business.

Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise work at all levels (sales, guest relations, admin, property onboarding) and set clear objectives.
  2. Manage budgets/expenses, analyze and interpret financial information, and monitor sales and profits.
  3. Plan activities and allocate responsibilities to achieve the most efficient operating model.
  4. Develop and implement an intuitive and efficient marketing strategy to promote the hotel's services.
  5. Handle complaints and oversee the service recovery procedures.
  6. Collaborate with external parties such as suppliers, travel agencies, event/conference planners, etc.
  7. Manage ongoing profitability of the properties ensuring revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met and exceeded.
  8. Ensure all decisions are made in the best interest of the management.
  9. Deliver budget goals and set other short- and long-term strategic goals for the properties.
  10. Inspect facilities regularly and enforce strict compliance with health and safety standards.
  11. A strong understanding of P&L statements and the ability to react with impactful strategies.
  12. Closely monitor the business reports on a daily basis and make decisions accordingly.
  13. Recruit, train, and supervise the team.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  1. A university degree in hotel management or a related field.
  2. Working knowledge of human resources processes.
  3. Proven experience in a managerial role.
  4. Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills.
  5. Proven ability to develop and maintain financial plans.
  6. Strong working knowledge of operational procedures.
  7. Ability to motivate and lead people, and hold employees accountable.

Experience: 5+ years in Hospitality Management and a minimum of 3 years UAE experience in Holiday Homes.
