General Maintenance / Locksmith

General Maintenance / Locksmith will perform carpentry, masonry, sheet metal, welding, rollup doors repairs / replacement, and tension fabric systems repairs / replacement. Install, repair, rebuild, and service mechanical or electrical locking devices.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Must be a Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance. Ability to adapt to frequent change and a hectic, fast-paced work environment. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal with others in a positive, customer-focused manner. Ability to comprehend written and oral instructions. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Experience with working and communicating with the Government or military personnel. Ability to generate reports and lead meetings as required by the Customer. Must be detailed oriented with respect to working with management, co-workers and the Customer. Ability to use computers and computer software for recording, modifying, tracking, and displaying data, developing charts and graphs, and word processing. Assemble, format, and/or author routine correspondence, reports, forms, and memorandums from various files or rough draft format using MS Office applications.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Three (3) or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the carpentry, masonry, sheet metal, welding, rollup doors, tension fabric systems, locksmith, and GSA field.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: Must possess GSA Certified Safe and Vault Technician and Inspector Certification. High School diploma or equivalent, with additional training in the use of computers for data entry, word processing, reporting, spreadsheets, etc. Must maintain a valid state driver license.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Similar military experience. Facilities, project management, inventory management, and operations experience. Keystone software experience. Associate degree or higher a plus.

Work tasks may require the person to lift, bend or stoop. The physical demands described here are representative of those that an employee may perform on an occasional to regular basis while performing functions of this job. Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable. Must have the ability to work well with others, to include the Government.
