General Helper - Facilities

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Helper to join our Facilities team. The General Helper will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance and upkeep of the facility ensuring that the work environment is clean, organized, and safe. This role involves performing basic tasks related to cleaning, maintenance, and supporting various operational activities to ensure smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist skilled workers in daily tasks and operations across various departments.
2. Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment as required.
3. Perform cleaning and housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and organized workspace.
4. Support maintenance teams in basic repairs and tasks.
5. Follow instructions from supervisors and ensure timely task completion.
6. Adhere to workplace safety and hygiene standards.

Qualifications:

1. At least a high school diploma or equivalency / Matriculate.
2. Physical fitness and ability to handle manual tasks.
3. Basic knowledge of cleaning and maintenance / safety procedures and practices.
4. Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed.

Additional Information:

1. The role involves physical work including standing, lifting, and moving objects.
2. Work may be performed in various conditions including indoor and outdoor environments.
3. Flexibility may be required for occasional evening or weekend shifts depending on the needs of the facility.
